About Us

Welcome To Wild Lebanon

Wild lebanon is a project of A Rocha Lebanon.

Although Lebanon is best known for its food, nightlife and skiing it has a wilder side. Whether it is along the coast, in the mountains or in the Bekaa plain wildlife of all sorts survives; majestic cedar trees, delicate orchids, thousands of migrating eagles, wolves, hyena, turtles and much, much more. Find out what’s out there and then plan a trip to see it.
To help you discover what there is to see information in the website is grouped under five headings: 

Educational Portal

Promote the Lebanese Environment

Inspiration

Inspire young people to care about the environment.

Teaching

Teach the Lebanese youth about Lebanon’s environment but also take them out into it – see it, smell it, feel it, ENJOY it!

Resources

Provide background information and recourses to teachers and University students.

Biology

Offer major biological themes in the national curriculum, using examples from Lebanon’s biodiversity.
