What is there to see?
The centre is located in an open, beautiful landscape facing typical mountainous areas, of oak, wild bushes and farmers' terraces. It is a good area for watching migratory birds. Thirty five different species of wild mammals, birds and reptiles, which are injured, orphaned and in need of special care are found in captivity, surrounded by wild and improved landscapes. Farm animals also have their own place.

How do I get there, and practical arrangements?
Aley - Ras El-Jabal Area, 100 m after Symposium Aley 2000, where amateurs' sculptures are shown.

Distance from Aley Entrance: 7 km from Aley Entrance, 5 minutes by car.
Distance from Beirut: 28 km from Beirut - 40 minutes by car.

When is the reserve open?

Winter schedule (October – March)

  • For groups and school visits by appointment at least three days ahead.
  • For public, during weekends: 11:00a.m.- 5:30 p.m.

Summer Schedule (April – September)

  • Daily by appointment at least three days ahead for group and school visits.
  • Daily: 4:00 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Weekends: 11: 00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

What is there to do?

Activities officered are numerous:

  1. Educational Sessions with different topics on mammals, birds, reptiles, insects, animals with bad reputation, carnivores, herbivores, farm animals, and visitor's handling for guides, rangers and scouts.
  2. Guided tours to the students and visitors of the center.
  3. Seasonal activities, e.g., Halloween, Easter, with activities related to wildlife.
  4. Walk in nature and sharing nature with children, including games and practical activities.
  5. Camping and wild walks.

What is the Cost?
According to the program registered, ranging from 4,000 L.L. to 15,000 L.L. per person.

Are there special activities for educational visits?
Same as above.
